BDO Meralco Payment: How to Pay Meralco Bill via BDO Online Banking

Most financial institutions like banks are now going online and providing services that helps their customers pay merchants at the comforts of their home.

BDO Online Banking enables you to pay your Meralco bill through their online facility (BDO Meralco Payment).

Let me show you how to pay Meralco Bill via BDO Online Banking.

Step 1: Login to BDO online banking.

On your browser, go to bdo.com.ph

Hover over Online Banking Login at the top right and click on the BDO Online Banking button that will show up.
Enter your credentials and click on the Login button.
You will be asked for a One Time Password (OTP) which will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Currently, there is an option to just answer your nominated Challenge Question instead of the OTP.

Although, BDO will be discontinuing this alternative security option by July 1, 2019.

Step 2: Select the Enroll option from the Menu.

Navigate through the menu options.

Go to Enrollment then select the Company/Biller option.

New menu options will show up.

Select Enroll under the Company / Biller.

Step 3: Completely fill up the Enrollment form.

Select Meralco as the Company/Biller Name from the drop down option.

Enter your Subscriber Number.

This is located at the bottom portion of your Meralco bill as shown in the picture below.

The numbers that you will need here are the first 11 digits of your ATM / Phone Reference Number.

Please see image below.

For Subscriber name, ensure that this is the same as the one on your Meralco Bill.

You can also add a Preferred Nickname if you want.

There are several options here for the Channels for Enrollment.

In our case, we will be choosing Online Banking.

Click on the Submit button to continue.
Click on the OK button to confirm.
You will see a confirmation message on your screen with the status of your enrollment if it was successful.

Step 4: Navigate to Pay Bills and Reload and select Bills Payment.

Go to Pay Bills and Reload.

Then choose the Bills Payment option.

Step 5: Choose Pay Bills.

New options will show up.

Select Pay Bills.

Step 6: Fill up the Payment Details accurately and completely.

There are several fields that you need to complete here.

If you have multiple BDO account, choose the source account that you will use for the bills payment.

On the Pay this Company / Biller, look for the newly enrolled Meralco bill from the drop down option.

Enter the amount that you will be paying.

You will also have an option to enter a remark for your transaction (This field is optional).

After selecting Meralco as the company / biller, you will see your Meralco Subscriber number and name.

There will also be a field for your ATM / Phone Reference number.

If you can recall from the Meralco enrollment above, we only got the first 11 digits.

On this field now, you are to enter the remaining five digits as shown in the image below.

There are three options that you can choose from for the payment schedule: immediately, later date and regular scheduled date.

 

Clicking the Later Date option will show the Payment Date field.

On the other hand, the Regular Schedule Date option will show several other fields to fulfill the payment schedule.
For our guide here, we will be using the immediate payment schedule option.

Click on the Submit button to continue.

A prompt with transaction summary will show up asking you to verify all the details.

If everything is okay, click on the Continue button.

Step 7: A reference number with a confirmation note will show up on your screen.

If your transaction was processed successfully, you will see your reference number, a note that you have successfully paid your bills and the payment details summary.

You have an option to print the transaction details for future reference.
You will also have an option if you just want to save it as a soft copy.
